NeuroMovement
NeuroMovement allows you to move beyond your limitations.
A different way to approach chronic pain, movement, brain health and learning
What is NeuroMovement?
How Does NeuroMovement Work?
NeuroMovement works by engaging the brain in new, varied patterns of movement. By bringing attention to these movements and varying them intentionally, clients experience shifts in cognitive and emotional abilities, as well as physical function. Each session is designed to enhance the brain’s capacity to perceive and organize movement, helping the brain connect more effectively with sensations, emotions, and thoughts.
For clients, this often means:
Improved emotional regulation and resilience
Reduced stress and anxiety
Enhanced focus and mental clarity
Greater body awareness and coordination
Decrease in Chronic Pain
Recovery from Injuries
Improved social engagement and confidence, especially for children with neurodiverse needs
Enhanced awarness of self and others
Why Choose NeuroMovement with the Anat Baniel Method?
For individuals seeking a natural, science-supported approach to mental wellness and brain health, NeuroMovement with the Anat Baniel Method offers a unique solution. Its gentle, adaptive exercises help alleviate mental health challenges and foster self-awareness, making it an ideal choice for children and adults alike. For neurodiverse children, the method provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore and grow, supporting them as they develop essential life skills.
NeuroMovement is a positive, empowering path to a healthier mind and body, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to achieve emotional, cognitive, and physical balance.
NeuroMovement® can be done in two different ways:
Transformational Movement Lessons (TML), where participants are verbally guided through specific, highly crafted sequences of gentle movements while lying, sitting or standing. As the participants move slowly with attention and explore variations in their movement, they will discover and build on new neural pathways that create possibilities for easier movement and improve their capacity for coping with changes and challenges.
Functional Synthesis Lessons (FS), where NeuroMovement® practitioners gently move and guide the participant's body. As the participants explore, the nervous system adjusts, and new synaptic connections are formed. People frequently experience greater calmness and organization of their mind and emotions, alongside greater ease, strength and flexibility of movement. These are often done in Intensives, meaning multiple sessions in a one or two week period.
Children and Infants.
The Benefits of NeuroMovement for Children and Babies
NeuroMovement®, based on the Anat Baniel Method, harnesses the power of neuroplasticity to support brain development and enhance overall function. This innovative approach is particularly transformative for children with neurodiversities, such as ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities, as well as for babies with developmental challenges.
How NeuroMovement Supports Children with Neurodiversity
Brain-Body Integration
Children with neurodiversities often face challenges with sensory processing and motor planning. NeuroMovement strengthens the connection between the brain and body, enabling children to move and respond more effectively. As motor skills improve, children frequently experience enhanced attention, emotional regulation, and learning.
Improved Self-Regulation
For children with ADHD or autism, self-regulation can be a significant challenge. NeuroMovement uses gentle, slow movements to calm the nervous system and create a sense of safety and balance. This helps reduce hyperactivity, anxiety, and sensory overwhelm, promoting a more centered and organized state.
Enhanced Learning and Focus
Through playful, exploratory movements, NeuroMovement stimulates the brain to develop focus, cognitive flexibility, and problem-solving skills. This method encourages curiosity, which is essential for overcoming learning disabilities and thriving in educational environments.
Boosts Social and Emotional Growth
By refining sensory and communication pathways in the brain, NeuroMovement helps children connect with others more effectively. Improved sensory integration often leads to greater confidence, increased social engagement, and a deeper sense of connection with peers and family.
Tailored to Each Child’s Needs
NeuroMovement adapts to the unique strengths and challenges of each child. This personalized approach ensures progress is made at each child’s individual pace in a supportive, non-judgmental environment, fostering growth and empowerment.
How NeuroMovement Benefits Babies
Early Brain Development
Infant brains are highly adaptable, making early intervention essential. NeuroMovement gently stimulates the brain to form new neural connections, which are vital for achieving developmental stages such as rolling, crawling, and sitting. One stage cannot happen without the other, and this method is a gentle way to ensure all parts of the process are in place.
Achieving Milestones with Ease
For infants experiencing developmental delays, NeuroMovement offers a safe and effective way to meet infants where they are at and guide their brains and bodies into discovering how to move and explore their surroundings.
Building Confidence in Parents
Parents often feel overwhelmed when their child’s development is delayed. NeuroMovement provides tools and reassurance, empowering parents to support their child in a compassionate, proactive way. The sessions also create a bonding experience, encouraging parents to focus on possibilities rather than limitations.
Improved Comfort and Movement
For babies with conditions such as torticollis or spasticity, NeuroMovement helps improve comfort and movement quality. By focusing on gentle, pain-free movements, babies often achieve more fluid and natural patterns of pain-free movement.
Laying the Foundation for Lifelong Growth
By strengthening sensory-motor coordination, NeuroMovement creates a strong foundation for future learning, exploration, and social interaction. These early interventions pave the way for a lifetime of growth and development.
Whether working with a child with ADHD, autism, or developmental delays, or helping a baby achieve essential milestones, NeuroMovement provides a gentle and effective path to transformation.
